Verb Hotel Boston; The City’s Music-Themed Getaway

To many Bostonian’s, Fenway is considered the heart and soul of the city, and one of the best areas to stay. Dive bars somehow work in harmony with the luxe eateries popping up in the area- making it a central hub for all.

On Red Sox days, the neighborhood comes alive and hordes of travelers and locals can be found roaming the streets in search of a Fenway Frank or game-day brew. Off the beaten path yet close enough to the action, The Verb Hotel Boston sits in the prime location in Fenway.

Location: Fenway, Boston

The Little Things: An outdoor heated pool open year round, record players, Bigelow toiletries, complimentary access to Boston Sports Club, Fenway views

Food & Drinks on-site: Hojoko Japanese restaurant is located on the ground-floor of the hotel

What To Do In The Area: Time Out Market, Fenway Stadium, House of Blues

What Makes The Hotel Good For Solo Travel? Rooms perfect for those traveling alone, in a bustling neighborhood with plenty of bars and things to do, bustling Hojoko is attached to the hotel and ideal for sitting at the bar and meeting people.

Walking through the lobby doors off of Boylston Street, I’m welcomed by the low hum of Elvis Presley playing in the background. Probably one of the quirkiest hotel interiors I’ve come across, Verb Hotel Boston leaves little to the imagination.

The check-in desk is covered in faux-leather upholstery and the banana-yellow couch contrasts perfectly against the bright blue walls. In a gallery-like way, the walls are lined with vintage music posters and an array of records can be found in nooks throughout the lobby area. The sense of vibrancy and entertainment is immediately apparent.

The local haunt for famous bands playing the House of Blues, the Verb Hotel Boston maintains its historic past as a 1959 motor inn while incorporating modern elements in its designs. With a record player in each room, half the fun was selecting which albums I’d choose to play during my stay! Rooms are decked out in musical paraphernalia and offer all the comforts you’d need for a weekend getaway to the city.

Stepping onto my balcony, I had incredible views of the main street to the left and Fenway to the right. Honestly, there’s no need to even attend a game; you’ll feel a part of the atmosphere and understand the culture of Fenway just by staying at the Hotel.

Launching in 2022, the Verb introduced their line of backstage Trailers- offering a unique accommodation experience in the city. While staying in an Airstream may seem a little odd at first, at 300-325 square feet, the trailers are ideal for solo travelers or couples, with mixed leather and metal furnishings.

The Verb Hotel Boston is the ideal spot for those looking to be in the midst of all the excitement. An up-and-coming neighborhood with plenty to offer, Fenway is just outside of the city with direct access via public transportation.
