What Makes The Hotel Good For Solo Travel? The welcoming staff and bar area make it easy to chat with the staff and other guests, while the downstairs event space is good for mingling (as they sometimes host events- when we were visiting, they had a dueling piano evening!)

Upon arrival, visitors enter a vast lobby area with plush couches and eclectic wall art, where industrial chandeliers hang overhead and pops of color are at every corner. Throughout the space, nods toward the Lincoln Hotel’s storied past as a textile mill come into play in moody tones and wooden floors.
The 33 stylish guest rooms carry the same ambiance, with spacious hallways and dark furnishings. Inside, cozy interiors include plush beds, exposed brick walls, and faux-fur throws. Even with dark walls and furnishings, rooms still feel surprisingly airy with high beam ceilings, large windows, and pops of bright tones. In the chilly months, the color-changing fireplaces make it almost impossible to ever leave the room. Expansive bathrooms feature marble designs and relaxing rain showers with a peep-through wall to the living area.

Begin the morning at Spinning Jenny’s Coffee Bar, serving up grab-and-go options and baked goods. By evening, the Lobby Bar inspired by the upscale nightclubs of the 40s and 50s is the heart and soul of Lincoln Hotel Biddeford, where locals come to mingle and travelers arrive to unwind. Quirky paintings of individuals adorned in costume hang behind the teal-colored bar and the friendly bartenders are ready to serve up their concoctions. Conveniently within the building, Batson River Brewing and Distilling is a welcomed retreat fit with fireplaces, cozy nooks, and tasteful taxidermy – a true nod to Maine living.
Rooftop pools in New England are a rarity, so guests will be thrilled to know there’s one at Lincoln Hotel Biddeford open from May-mid October. Available for guests, the pool offers some of the best views of Biddeford, and never gets too busy up there – which is nice for those looking to unwind after a long day.
